Partnerships with industry are an important method of delivery for the project!
We would like to thank all those who have given their time, support and seafood donations already and helped to make several successful events during 2011.
But we do need more of you!!.........there are many ways for you to get involved......
A) Visit schools to talk about an aspect of the industry your business is involved in
B) Provide product for tasting sessions.
C) Invite a class to your business to see the industry for real
Stephen Thomson from J K Thomson based in Musselburgh helped at an event held in Hawick, Nov 2011 and said “the Children’s excitement and curiosity was fantastic, they seemed to genuinely enjoy the filleting demonstrations I carried out. I think it is great for the industry that we can have this opportunity to showcase what we have available to us in Scotland, both farmed and wild caught. We need to get our future customers ‘hooked on fish’ from a young age and I would encourage anyone who can make the time to get involved with these events when they happen in their locality.”
